Buying a gift for a new baby can be difficult, especially when the mommy is like me and can’t hold her own pee for buying things.
We had so many beautiful gifts for Sebastien, he was truly spoilt by our loved ones.
Here are some of the gorgeous personalised gifts we received…
This is such a great idea, and is so gorgeous in person. It looks amazing in his little nursery! It has his name, date and time of birth and his birth weight. A beautiful gift for my little Prince.
Gift from Get Personal via Instagram.
This gorgeous piece of artwork is from Hayley Lou Art, and is completely hand made. So much time and effort has gone into this beautiful illustration! It is personalised with his name and hand signed by the artist on the back.
Gift via Haylelouart on Instagram.
This cashmere blanket is so beautiful!! I’m obsessed with it. It’s a gorgeous blue, with Sebastiens initials…and it’s SO soft! I used it so much when Sebastien was a newborn, I want to try and preserve it for as long as possible, so now I only use it for special occasions!
Monogrammed cashmere blanket from My 1st Years.
This is a brilliant idea, and something you can do at home!! In the gift set is a gorgeous silver frame, with plain white card and an ink pad! You can use the ink to make prints of your little ones hands and feet- the ink is completely safe and washes off! We are waiting to do this at 6 months as we have the gift listed below too!
Available from John Lewis.
I am so in love with how these iron casts of Sebastiens hands and feet turned out. Each frame is hand made, which is a good job as his feet are so huge, and you can upload any image to display too! Below the image is a plaque, which can display whatever wording you like. I love the fact that we will always have these to look back on! Something I will definitely do again if we have more babies.
We had Sebastiens done at Mothercare, you can book through Memory Makers by clicking here.
This is such a cool and thoughtful gift, it’s a true to scale illustration of Sebastien when he was born. It’s amazing to see how much he has grown! I have it in our entrance hallway, and literally everyone comments on it. I love it so much- and I’m already planning to get the next size illustration done! You can completely customise your poster and there are so many different options!
Available from The Birth Poster here.
How gorgeous is this toy basket from My 1st Years?! This was from a fellow mommie, and she couldn’t have picked a better gift! It’s been so useful! A brilliant gift idea. (Giant Bunny is sold separately).
You can buy the toy basket here, from My 1st Years.
The most sentimental gift Sebastien was given is a hand knitted beautiful blanket and cardigan, in pure white from his Great Aunty Pat. The time and effort that went into making these by hand makes them so treasured, and I am so greatful for them. They are so amazing you’d think they’d been bought in a shop! I will definitely be keeping them to pass down to more babies if we have any. They might not have his name on, but were lovingly made just for him- it doesn’t get more personal than that!
I hope this little gift guide helps you out with what to buy for a new baby, I definitely think personalised gifts are perfect!
