Sebastien has been a huge lover of Ewan the Dreamsheep since birth, and as a newborn I swore by it. It plays white noise, the same as he was used to in the womb.
But now he’s 6 months old, and so aware and alert, it doesn’t seem to be doing the trick as much.
I was doing my Baby Care items blog post when I came across the Lulla Doll.
The Lulla Doll is a sleep companion for preemies, babies and toddlers. It imitates closeness to a caregiver at rest with its soft feel natural cotton and soothing sounds of real-life breathing and heartbeat. Lulla’s unique design is based on scientific research that shows how closeness, and especially the sounds of heartbeat and breathing, can improve sleep, well-being and safety.
The positive effects of closeness suggested by multiple scientific research are:
- Longer periods of uninterrupted sleep
- Healthier sleeping patterns
- More stable heartbeat and breathing rhythm
- Reduced chances of apnea and SIDS
- Increased well-being and lowered stress
It really made sense to me, that now he would benefit more from the sounds of heartbeat and breathing, as he is always so much more content and sleeps more soundly when he can hear me nearby. Not to mention, how cute the Lulla Doll is!
Sebastien loves it!
It seems to be sold out or on pre-order almost everywhere, but I managed to find it on kiddicare. Get one here.
Sweet dreams, Babies!
