People always ask me what I use to take my photos, and my answer is always the same…my iPhone.
I believe it is so important to capture moments, as it’s the only way to immortalise them. I’m pretty sure the way my memory is going that I won’t be able to remember a thing after 50.
I also love the idea that I’m keeping a diary for my son.
I’m going to share a few tips I’ve picked up along the way, that you may or may not know, and I hope, will help you get the most out of your memory making.
1. Never use the flash! It creates horrible glare and red eye. If you need more light ask someone else to hold their torch from a distance- you can also play with angles of light this way!
2. Brighten or darken your picture as you take it. Not many people know this- but if you tap the screen whilst you are taking a photo, a box will appear with a sun next to it, you can then slide your finger up and down to brighten, or darken the image.
3. Use VSCO app for filters. You can choose from so many filters, and drop and drag your favourites at the bottom. It also lets you create a mood board for your Instagram page. Though you may not be aware of it, great Instagram accounts plan their feed- now I’ve pointed it out you will probrably notice a pattern, one popular one at the minute is posting flowers between images. It creates a gorgeous feed! Many people make a living off of a single Instagram account- so you won’t be shocked to hear that it is meticulously planned out, so much time and effort goes into it- not just purely posting a picture.
I hope you enjoyed this post, and maybe learned something new!!
